April 2nd 2012

As a centre of creative excellence, Cornwall is home to many web design companies. Webfooted Designs from Penzance, has had their outstanding work nominated for the ‘Website of the Year’ award at the Hire Association Europe Hire Awards of Excellence 2012. Client, Didcot Plant from Didcot, Oxfordshire, will be competing against companies from all over the country for this prestigious award.

Webfooted Designs launched the all-singing, all–dancing site for Didcot Plant in 2011. The new site offers a range of features which recognise the working requirements of Didcot Plant’s customers – ease of use, valuable information presented clearly, and a fast, efficient on-line hire functionality. The success of this client relationship demonstrates that distance is no object for companies working in Cornwall.

The HAE Awards
The HAE awards were set up to recognise excellence across the hire industry, and invites entrants from a very wide range of companies. The Website of the Year accolade is awarded to a company that produces an innovative and effective hire and rental website which stands out from the competition.

Says Michael Rose, Managing Director at Webfooted Designs: ‘We are very honoured that the work we produced for Didcot Plant has been nominated for this award. It’s great to think that the work we are doing here in Cornwall is recognised across the country. ‘

The awards ceremony takes place on 28th April at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Says Fred Tarrant, Chairman, Didcot Plant: ‘I am delighted that we have been honoured with this nomination for HAE Website Of The Year. I am particularly pleased that all the hard work put into the site by Webfooted Designs has been recognised.’

For Webfooted Designs, who decided to move their business to Penzance in 2006, this nomination is further proof that working in Cornwall is no barrier to doing business anywhere in the country.

‘Cornwall is a great place to live and do business.’ Says Michael’s partner, Emily. ‘we wouldn’t want to be based anywhere else.’
