Portfolio

To give you a taster of our work, below is a selected portfolio highlighting just a few of our projects.

The Old GaolThe Old Gaol

The Old Gaol is a residential and commercial development in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. The website features a modern, clean design, and a Joomla backend for content management. We've built in access permissions so that once the plots are sold, the buyers can get their own personalised updates through the client area. Other features are a Virtual Tour, which gives a fantastic preview of how the finished development will look, a gallery of photos to demonstrate the development's progress, and a news section for project updates.

Hospitality CornwallScreenshot of the Hospitality Cornwall home page

Hospitality Cornwall is a small group of quality free houses based in the Newquay area. As such, this project was essentially three websites in one representing Hospitality Cornwall itself and the free houses: Lewinnick Lodge and The Plume of Feathers.

The website has been built using Joomla!, enabling the guys at Hospitality Cornwall to keep all three sections bang up to date and we were delighted to include an on-site training session to give them a headstart with this.

The design and project management was by Approach and it was a fantastic opportunity to work with them.

Didcot Plant Re-DesignScreenshot of the Didcot Plant home page

We've recently completed and launched the re-designed Didcot Plant: Plant and Tool Hire website.

The Didcot Plant website is a large website that includes a hire catalogue, news blog and spares pages as well as a large number of informational pages. It was certainly a big undertaking but the results are well worth it.

The wider design allowed us to concentrate on making the website easier to navigate. For example the menu for the hire catalogue is now on each page allowing visitors to the website to jump into the hire catalogue from wherever they are on the website.

Didcot Plant are a longstanding client of ours and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to update their website from the ground up.

We're very pleased to have been involved in another local project. The St Just Community & Business Centre aims to provide office space, rooms for hire and a large perfomance space available to the local community.

Although just one page at the moment, the team at the Business Centre hope to be able to expand the website further in the future.

Big Bad Beads

Big Bad Beads

Big Bad Beads sells an amazing range of semi-precious gemstone beads. We were delighted to work with them on their ecommerce website. The brief for this project was to build a website which is easy to navigate and has a design which allows the products to stand out. We based the site on the ecommerce package Zen Cart, which provides a robust shopping cart system and great flexibility to develop the site as it grows.

KT MassageScreenshot of the KT Massage home page

Our first website for 2011 is a small but perfectly formed brochure style website for the local professional masseur Katie Trenary. Using her existing branding, Katie wanted a website that is not only informative but also bright, relaxed and airy.

Home page of the St Just Primary School websiteSt Just Primary School

This was a really interesting project to work on, not least because I actually went to the school as a nipper. There's a lot of information on the website which requires updating so we chose Joomla! for it's flexibility. As well as allowing school staff to keep the text up to date, Joomla! allowed us to set up an events calendar and a photo slideshow, both easily updateable by the staff.

Cornish TreasuresCornish Treasures

Cornish Treasures is a website for a local antiques and collectibles seller, which incorporates a full content management system for easy updating of the whole site, with an ecommerce shop. For this project we used a combination of Joomla! and VirtueMart, to provide the best possible combination of content management and shopping cart.

Down Range VehiclesDown Range Vehicles

This was an interesting project. Down Range Vehicles restores and customises rare US military vehicles. With a logo provided by the client we drew our inspiration from the military theme to produce this site to showcase vehicles for sale and past projects.

Howard Nowell Garden DesignHoward Nowell Garden Design

This project required us to draw together several different threads in order to achieve Howard's goals. The first step was to create a unique logo. For this we went to Neil at Carta Graphic Design . A custom design inspired in large part by the logo was then created for the website as a whole. The final step was to then build the website in WordPress so that Howard can keep it up to date himself.

The redesigned Cookbook websiteThe Cook Book

When the Cook Book asked us to redesign their website we saw it as an opportunity to bring out the café and bookshop aspects a lot more than our original design did. The newsletter was a later development added to the original website so it was also good to be able to incorporate it more fully, particularly into the home page.

The website as a whole is built in WordPress making it quick and efficient to update.

Chacewater Village WebsiteChacewater Village Website

Chacewater approached us to refresh their website. The content of the site is regularly updated so they were particularly keen to have a more user-friendly way of doing this themselves. We have used WordPress as a simple solution to keeping their website up-to-date.

Lyme Regis MuseumLyme Regis Museum

Lyme Regis is a historic town famous for it's geological, maritime and literary history. The museum reflects this in its fascinating displays and galleries. The site was required to be not only updated by the museum staff but also feature user administration. The flexibility of Joomla was ideally suited to the project.

St. Just Town CouncilSt. Just Town Council

The website of the local town council needed a refresh as well as a means for the council to keep it up to date with important information about the area. We used WordPress as the basis of the website with attention paid to keeping the menu and the design as a whole as simple as possible.
